The Wolf ham factory in Sauris is one of the most renowned and typical agri-food company in Friuli Venezia Giulia. Wastewater from the ham factory needs to be reclaimed before draining to the public sewer system, according to standards set out in Annex5 of the Italian Legislative Decree152/06 “.The only area available to build the plant was in front of the ham factory, where, in summer, they usually entertain and welcome customers. Therefore, the plant shouldn’t be visible, nor impact as for noisiness and smell.

We designed a completely underground plant, including the technical room. Moreover, we adopted the MBBR system, extremely easy in technology and processes, in order to limit the maintenance activity and consequent access from the outside.
