Fantoni S.p.A. is one of the leading wood-processing factories in Italy. During rainfall, the external storage area for raw materials (wood) produces a waste full of rough materials, suspended solids and other pollutants that cannot be removed by settling. The Client requested a technical solution to treat the first flush waters and make them qualitatively compliant with the limits for discharge to the sewer.

We designed and installed a new first flush water system using the already existing settling tanks, which is composed by an automatic filtration and clarification structure equipped with a Dissolved Air Flotation system (DAF).
