The tourist area within the caves of Postojna was not equipped with a wastewater treatment plant for the public toilets, therefore, the wastewater impacted on environment.

The plant should necessarily find place inside the caves, which extend in depth and can be reached by means of a special train only. We adopted the MBBR technology in combination with the MBR one in order to reduce the space required for the installation of the treatment plant.
